Siuli Roy is Professor and Head in Dept. of Information Technology, Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata. Prof Roy received her PhD in Computer Science & Engineering from Jadavpur University (2005) and MCA from Jadavpur University (1993). She has more than 25 years of experience in academic research, business and software development in several organizations of international repute including Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute, Japan. With a unique combination of business & entrepreneurial acumen and research excellence in the area of pervasive computing and communication system, she co-founded PervCom Consulting Private Limited in 2005. Roy has profound research experience with more than 50 research publications in international journals and conference proceedings of repute. She co-authored three books, namely "Enhancing Performance of Ad Hoc Wireless Networks with Smart antennas", with CRC Press (2005),"Reliable Post Disaster Services over Smartphone based DTN"with Springer Nature (2019), and "Post-disaster Navigation and Allied Services over Opportunistic Networks" with Springer Nature (2020).She has been associated with an NGO, Institute for Nature Care and Development, for more than 5 years and is currently serving as the president of the organization. She has been working in close collaboration with Social Informatics Research Group of IIM Calcuttato design and develop web- and mobile app based interactive digital platforms for imparting academic and vocational trainings to the rural children and adult learners in online mode aiming towards the digital enablement of the rural community.
